Synopsis
Kiall and Eena are twins. Their father, Paolo, arrived in Quentaris years ago and set up his own trading business. Their mother, Kea, was a member of the Thieves' Guild but renounced her Guild membership when she married Paolo, estranging herself from the Guild for good.

When Paolo is thrown in prison for failure to repay the Archon for goods he had bought and never received, Kiall and Eena are desperate to save him. They consider approaching the Thieves' Guild, but their mother forbids it. The only other option is to go fortune hunting in the rift caves – but they can't afford a guide.

The sky pirates begin flying over the city again and Kiall has an idea. If he can get onto a pirate ship and sneak through the caves on it, he might be able to steal gold from the pirates and bring it back…
