Tikko's family have always been Rift Cave guides. One day she will join them but at the moment she is just too young. The Doro family are treasure hunters. Lady Attranta has just set off on her own adventure (with one of Tikko's brothers as guide) but her brother Eustacio is not sure that he wants to do the same – but it is expected of him.

As he has put off the journey as long as possible, when he finally realises that he will have no choice he discovers that not only are all the decent pack animals taken, so are all the more experienced guides. So, it is inevitable that Tikko and Eustacio are thrown together with only a stubborn old mule to carry their bags.

As they venture further into the Rift Caves the pair discover some incredible new worlds and find themselves in extreme danger but will they discover sufficient treasure to allow them to return to Quentaris with their heads held high?

Treasure Hunters of Quentaris is another book in the extremely entertaining Quentaris Chronicles and follows the adventures of Tikko and Eustacio as they travel into the Rift Caves discovering new worlds and hopefully finding wonderful treasures.

As with many of the other Quentaris books the defining feature of this story are the two main characters. They are both very sympathetically written which helps the reader relate to them both. As with many of the other characters in the series, both Tikko and Eustacio are definite underdogs – looked down on by some of the other inhabitants of Quentaris.

I have read the majority of the Quentaris Chronicles and they never cease to amaze me. Each time I get one of the books by a new author I wonder if they will manage to slot seamlessly into the world created by Michael Pryor and Paul Collins and so far I have not been disappointed. Treasure Hunters, like the rest, fits in perfectly and adds another superb facet to the world.
